Homeowners: Do not be alarmed if your HOA payment checks have not been withdrawn from your account. The Treasurer has not been able to pick up or receive any mail due to the temporary closer/move of the San Simeon post office. I was not given any notice about this change in mailing until it was posted on the San Simeon post office last weekend. I normally pick up the mail on Saturday or Sunday mornings on a weekend that I am over there. I have finally found out how and when I can pick up the mail at the Cambria post office.

I will update everyone when I do pick up the mail. If this is going to be a problem with anyone’s financial situation, please let me know. I do not want to overdraft anyone’s bank account by depositing more than one check.

PLEASE be aware that if you do not contact me then I am assuming it is OK to deposit more than one check from your account.

A meeting was held via conference call this past week. Please read the pdf below to review the meeting minutes. Also please take the time to read the new Parking rules that will be strictly enforced on Sept 1st, 2019. If you are a homeowner that has a rental unit then please forward this new information to your renters. The Parking Rules will also be available to download on the “Documentation” page of the website.

As home owners at Casa Del Mar, you are strongly encouraged to read the above documents. Included are minutes of the Board meeting of March 3, the official notice to all home owners, and a new set of payment coupons which you should use, starting April 1.

THE NEW MONTHLY RATE PER UNIT IS $208.

Remember all payments are due on the first of the month, and while they may be paid in advance, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY IN AREARS. Fines and interest to be applied to late payments are solely at the discretion of the Board.

AS YOU ARE A CASA DEL MAR HOMEOWNER, YOU NEED TO ATTEND OUR GENERAL MEETING FOR THIS NEW YEAR. WE WILL MEET IN UNIT 505 AT 10 AM ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16. BRING A FOLDING CHAIR, WE START PROMPTLY AT 10 AM. WE WILL REVIEW FINANCES, SAVINGS AND INSURANCE, AS WELL AS PLANS FOR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE.  THIS IS WHERE YOU SHOULD MAKE SUGGESTIONS FOR OUR FACILITY AND FOR THE HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION IN GENERAL.

FINALLY WE WILL ELECT OFFICERS FOR THE 2019 YEAR.  THREE OF THE FIVE CURRENT HOA OFFICERS HAVE AGREED TO CONTINUE, BUT YOU NEED TO LET THE SECRETARY KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER CANDIDATE, AND IF YOU ARE WILLING TO SERVE IN ANY CAPACITY AS OFFICER OR ON A COMMITTEE. CALL OR EMAIL ME IF YOU ARE WILLING TO SERVE.
