Casa Del Mar HOA President’s “In The Know” for August 2020

  1. Parking: One vehicle per household in the parking areas; parking pass required.  If you have guests they must park on the street unless they have the pass posted. Abusing this requirement is making tenants that have passes park on the street.  Keep fire lanes open – short term for offloading only.
  2. Noise:  The people that live close to the cans will appreciate you keeping the noise down when dumping your trash/recyclables.  Be considerate of your neighbors with all excess noise.  
  3. Maintenance:  Painting the eaves and installing rain gutters all around the complex is being explored and any damage to the outside of your unit should be reported immediately. This way we can document a list of repairs. We have a contractor standing by to do necessary repairs.
  4. Driveway:  Unfortunately the asphalt removal and replacement with pavers will have to wait for now.  Our Cambria bank has informed us that they are not processing any loans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Once more favorable conditions are achieved we will address this again.  In the interim, another coat of asphalt sealer will be applied.
  5. Leases:  All owners with tenants must provide a copy of their leases/rental agreements to the board (per our CCRs/rules).  You should have received an email from Tina White with this request. Thank you to those who have already submitted. If you have not submitted, please do so as soon as possible. Keeping the board informed of your tenants is a requirement. 
  6. Bird Nesting:  The nesting problem has been resolved for this season.  Next year could be an issue.  We’ll have to wait to see if they return.  
  7. Satellite dishes:  All dishes not in use should be removed.  Contact me for help if you or the dish company cannot remove it.  Did you know the local cable company, San Simeon Cable and Internet, can provide service to your unit?  (805-927-5555).
