The Casa Del Mar HOA annual meeting is February 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. If you are unable to attend, please complete and return the attached proxy form by February 1st.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This year’s meeting will be virtual via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation and link from Randy White a week before the meeting. You will just click on the link at 10 a.m. on February 13th to join (no password, ID, or zoom app are required).

The agenda will include, but is not limited to, the following: Election of Officers (Board President is an open position), Financial Report & Estimated Budget, and Electronic HOA Payments.

The agenda and financial documents will be sent as attachments a week before the meeting.

Casa Del Mar HOA President’s “In The Know” for August 2020

(IF YOU HAVE A TENANT, PLEASE FORWARD THIS INFORMATION)

  1. Parking: One vehicle per household in the parking areas; parking pass required.  If you have guests they must park on the street unless they have the pass posted. Abusing this requirement is making tenants that have passes park on the street.  Keep fire lanes open – short term for offloading only.
  2. Noise:  The people that live close to the cans will appreciate you keeping the noise down when dumping your trash/recyclables.  Be considerate of your neighbors with all excess noise.  
  3. Maintenance:  Painting the eaves and installing rain gutters all around the complex is being explored and any damage to the outside of your unit should be reported immediately. This way we can document a list of repairs. We have a contractor standing by to do necessary repairs.
  4. Driveway:  Unfortunately the asphalt removal and replacement with pavers will have to wait for now.  Our Cambria bank has informed us that they are not processing any loans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Once more favorable conditions are achieved we will address this again.  In the interim, another coat of asphalt sealer will be applied.
  5. Leases:  All owners with tenants must provide a copy of their leases/rental agreements to the board (per our CCRs/rules).  You should have received an email from Tina White with this request. Thank you to those who have already submitted. If you have not submitted, please do so as soon as possible. Keeping the board informed of your tenants is a requirement. 
  6. Bird Nesting:  The nesting problem has been resolved for this season.  Next year could be an issue.  We’ll have to wait to see if they return.  
  7. Satellite dishes:  All dishes not in use should be removed.  Contact me for help if you or the dish company cannot remove it.  Did you know the local cable company, San Simeon Cable and Internet, can provide service to your unit?  (805-927-5555).

  1. Updated work scheduled for 2nd round of maintenance.  Start date has been pushed to July 6th lasting about two weeks.  Be ready by having all outside walls (including back yards) accessible by moving all items away from the walls giving workers plenty of room to work.  Thanks for your help.

  1. Once this work is completed, the HOA board is planning on having the asphalt removed and replaced with pavers.   This would be an Aug./Sept. timeframe but with the current COVID-19 situation this may change.

The Board advertised a “save the date” for this meeting in the minutes from July 28 and November 3, 2019.

Homeowners: Do not be alarmed if your HOA payment checks have not been withdrawn from your account. The Treasurer has not been able to pick up or receive any mail due to the temporary closer/move of the San Simeon post office. I was not given any notice about this change in mailing until it was posted on the San Simeon post office last weekend. I normally pick up the mail on Saturday or Sunday mornings on a weekend that I am over there. I have finally found out how and when I can pick up the mail at the Cambria post office.

I will update everyone when I do pick up the mail. If this is going to be a problem with anyone’s financial situation, please let me know. I do not want to overdraft anyone’s bank account by depositing more than one check.

PLEASE be aware that if you do not contact me then I am assuming it is OK to deposit more than one check from your account.
